TNT Super Series rolls into Cayuga this weekend for Canadian Street Car Nationals

Double-header TNT 10.90 weekend powered by Bieda’s!

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (August 9, 2010) The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series begins the second half of its 2010 season with a double-header this weekend at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario.  Powered by Bieda’s Powersports, the toughest 10.90 sportsman series in the northeast will be a part of the Canadian Street Car Nationals for the first time.

There will be two complete TNT races this weekend - events eight & nine - in a season that has already seen record car counts, unbelievably close margins of victory and a dominating performance by the current points leader.

The weekend will conclude with a Super Bowl SHOOTOUT for a $7000 Matco tool box on Sunday evening – and the TNT winners from both Saturday and Sunday will automatically qualify.

Points leader Pete Maduri Jr (Tonawanda, NY) will be looking to extend his record-breaking run of 16 consecutive Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series round wins - but 40 other TNT points chasers will be looking to stop him.

Pete is sitting out front with a significant points lead at 446 points followed by Fred Gross (Brampton, ON) in second with 370.  Closely behind him in third with 365 is JJ Jablonski (West Seneca, NY).  Mark Herbold (Elma, NY) is fourth with 350 and in fifth with 347 is Ted Barnes (Canfield, ON).  Rounding out the top ten are Sam Lovetro Jr (Webster, NY), Wayne Sipos (Binbrook, ON), Bill Elekes (West Seneca, NY), Jamie Stoneman (Cheektowaga, NY) and Tom Coonly (Blasdell, NY).
