TNT Super Series final event for 2012 this Sunday at Empire Dragway

$1000/win for final event of the season!

LEICESTER, NEW YORK (September 24, 2012)  The highly competitive Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series rolls into Empire Dragway this Sunday September 30 for the final points race of 2012.  Presented by The Sister Act Band, Sunday's 10.90 event will featured an enhanced payout of $1000 to the winner.

"This race was originally scheduled for September 8 but got rained out," said Ted Barnes, TNTSS Director.  "We are also going to waive the $40 membership fee this weekend for anyone new who wants to try our series and get their car set up for 2013."

Jon Jablonski has a stranglehold on the points lead and almost has the 2012 series championship in the bag with second place Harry Phelps the only driver within striking distance.  "With the yearend points fund paying back to eighth place, there will be some serious competition as guys try to get into the yearend money!" added Ted.

Joining the TNTSS at Empire this Sunday will be the 9.90 Showdown Series and the Gasser Racing Series, along with Empire's regular bracket program.  Gates open at 9:30am on Sunday with two rounds of qualifying and then eliminations to follow.  Visit www.empiredragway.com for all the details.

About the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):

Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stages.

The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams.  Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer's entry fees.  The yearend points fund pays the top five finishers and the Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $3500.00.

The TNTSS is committed to providing the highest level of competition backed by solid media support to showcase its participants across North America.  Events are contested at various drag racing facilities in southern Ontario and western New York and put on a spectacular show for the drag racing fan.
