TNT Super Series hits Lancaster National Speedway for RACE 5 this Friday

Jan-Cen Motorsports powers Friday night sportsman drag racing!

LANCASTER, NEW YORK (June 10, 2015)   The 2015 season in the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series heats up with RACE 5 this Friday June 12 at Lancaster National Speedway in Lancaster, New York.  Presented by Jan-Cen Motorsports, this weekend’s race will mark the mid-point of the season and will set the stage for the second half.

Friday night drag racing in western New York is one of the most exciting events in local motorsports and Lancaster's shows are second to none.  Paul Young from Alden, NY took over the TNTSS championship points lead last weekend with 367 points and is looking to make his way to a second TNTSS championship.  Close behind in second is Chris VanBaalen with 337.  Harry Phelps is at 293 in third, Sam LoVetro in fourth at 290 and Gary Saska in fifth at 264.

Friday will also see someone secure a new spot or improve their starting position in the REVS Full Throttle Race of Champions coming up this September.

The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams.  Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer's entry fees.  The yearend points fund provides cash & prizes to the top eight finishers and the Series Champion receives a prize package worth over $4000.00.
