TNT Super Series Memorial Day Weekend - TWO Races - $1000 to Win Both Days
Steve’s Electric continues annual tradition and guarantees the $1000 payouts!
NEW YORK (May 25, 2016) The second double weekend in the 2016 Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series is here this weekend May 27-28. Friday at Lancaster Dragway and Saturday at Empire Dragway where both events will pay a guaranteed $1000 to the winners.
Steve’s Electric powers up the weekend and is behind the $1000/win. Long-time TNTSS supporter Steve McCarrick came up with the idea. "Steve sponsors the Memorial Day weekend every year and wanted to make the weekend even more exciting,” said Ted Barnes. “The guaranteed payouts will most certainly make for strong car counts both days!”
The points chase has a tie at the top with Bill Elekes and Jim Thomson each at 180 points. Then Dave Gunn, Billy Ryan and Art Jones round out the top five.
"Past series champions are much further down the list which should make things on the track very interesting this weekend," he added.
Things get underway on Friday on Lancaster’s eighth mile with two qualifying sessions starting at 5pm. Saturday’s action will shift to Empire and the quarter mile with on-track activity starting at noon.

About the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series (TNTSS):
Since it began in 2006, the TNT Super Series has grown into one of the strongest, most competitive sportsman drag racing series in North America and has catapulted many competitors to success on the national and divisional stages.
The TNTSS is a self-governing organization with input from its teams. Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, competitors run on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile) and race for a guaranteed purse that pays back more than 100% of the racer's entry fees.
