TNT Super Series double-header this weekend at Cayuga will shake up points battle
Final Canadian weekend for 2009 TNT championship chase
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (September 1, 2009) For the fourth time this year, the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series will contest a double-header weekend - this time at Cayuga Dragway's Labour Day Weekend Blast. The historic facility located at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, ON has been hosting TNT events since the series' inception back in 2006. And this weekend September 5-6th, Bieda's Powersports presents both events - a perfect fit since the TNT Super Series is all about power and focus.
The 2009 TNT championship points chase is incredibly close with quite a few competitors within reach of the title. And everyone is trying to make it into the top five to get their share of the yearend awards. "The battle for the top five spots is very tight with the gap from 3rd to 7th place only 41 points," said Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director.
Of course, all eyes are on first place. Current points leader Jamie Stoneman, has been holding off the field since May - although Paul Young has been quietly and slowing closing the gap. "With the points chase determined by 'best 5 of 6 races' on each of the Canadian and American sides of the border, and this weekend the final Canadian stop for 2009, we are in for some intense competition that these sportsman competitors are known for," added Ted.
This is Bieda's Powersports second year as a TNT Super Series partner. Kasey Janzen, President of Bieda's agrees the TNT series is a good match for their business. "We're pleased to continue to be a part of this very competitive field of racers," said Kasey. "These guys are very serious about what they do and put on a terrific show for the fans."
