Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series announces 2010 schedule
Twelve events in both Canada and the USA for the series' 4th season!
CANFIELD, ONTARIO (February 11, 2010) The competitors in the Joe's Transmission TNT Super Series are gearing up for the fourth season of the popular southern Ontario / western New York sportsman series. Known for its close finishes and fierce competitors, the locally based 10.90 series will host twelve events at two facilities in 2010 - Dunn Tire Raceway Park in Lancaster, New York (DTRP) and Cayuga Dragway at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario (TMP).
"We're following last year's schedule fairly closely with only one significant weekend change," said Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director. "In 2010, we'll be part of the Canadian Street Car Nationals on August 14-15 at TMP. And we're very excited. There will be some added bonuses for the racers that weekend!"
Joe's Transmission from Niagara Falls, Ontario is also returning as the series' title sponsor. "Joe Boniferro has been with us since day one and we couldn't be happier to have him back for our fourth season." Boniferro, a Pro Modified racer himself has long supported the grassroots racers. From years ago sponsoring the local ET classes - to this commitment to the sportsman racers. "Anyone who knows Joe understands his dedication to the sport of drag racing and to the people at the heart of the sport - the local racer," added Ted.
There were a record 47 racers competing in the 2009 TNT Super Series and with the champion's prize package looking even better this year, that number will only grow. Roy Lister of Welland, Ontario will be in the 2010 chase. "This deal is great," commented Roy. "It gives us a chance to get competitive seat time without having to do a bunch of travelling. With the payouts on raceday and the yearend prize packages, it's no wonder this series is so popular."

About the TNT Super Series:
The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series www.tntsuperseries.com began in 2006 and is entering its fourth full season in 2010. Based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes, the twelve event series runs on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile), guarantees a MINIMUM of $500 for an event win and pays round money for EVERY round win. Competing at facilities in southern Ontario and western New York, there are only two exceptions to the rulebook - no weight minimum and left-hand drive open-bodied cars are allowed.
